COL FRANK KOSSA/ANAVETS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP 2007 RECIPIENT – LORIELLE PEVIE

     It is with immense pleasure that we announce that the first recipient of the Col Frank Kossa Memorial Scholarship for the year 2007 was Lorielle Pevie. Lorielle is currently attending her first year of studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland working towards a degree in science to further her dreams of becoming a dentist.

Comrade Pevie states “I am currently attending Memorial University. I am in the science faculty, and next semester I plan on applying to the Biology Faculty. Once I received a biology degree I will then apply to various dental programs. I have aspired to become a dentist since I was fourteen years old. Whenever I state that I want to be a dentist most people react the same way by saying, “I hate going to the dentist.” And every time I reply with the same answer, “Well when I become a dentist I hope to change that."

Lorielle has been in cadets for six years and her proudest accomplishments have been her medals. “I have received the ANAVETS medal, The Major General Howard medal, Lord Strathcona medal, the Legion medal and the four year service” Pevie states.

In the memory of our dear Comrade Kossa the Dominion President, executive and all the members of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada are proud to congratulate this wonderful young Canadian on all of her accomplishments and are happy that we are able to help her in her quest to fulfill her dreams.
